Figure SSA-ind-088. A male heroic character, exotically dressed in foreign garments (Hellenistic-Roman belted tunic and Scythian (Saka) high boots) and wearing a prominent non-Indian style diadem, wrestling with the bipede aquatic composite crocodilomorphic monster makara with its squamous (scaly) body ending with a piscine homocercal (symmetrical) caudal fin and intertwined with long, swirling body of the large serpent, partially submerged in the waters of the river Mandakini of the Indra's Paradise, surrounded by the aquatic creatures (turtle, fish, duck, etc.), and eventually gracefully morphing into a decorative volute.
