Figure SSA-ind-062. Two dvarapalas (guardians) sporting the pentacephalic cobra hoods with the cranial gemstones and flanking the entrance to the garbhagriha with the sculptural image of the Buddha Shakyamuni inside. The central cobra hoods are much larger than the other four, the sign of the evolution from the earlier isocephalic to the later, heterocephalic iconographic convention.
