Top register: God Vishnu appearing in his third avatara as kaprocephalic (boar-headed) Varaha (Boar) saving the earth goddess Bhudevi (Bhumi, Prithivi) from the cosmic flood while subjugating the anthropomorphic, ophiocaude (serpent-tailed) naga (personification of the Ocean). |
