Theriomorphic (of a composite, human-reptile-avian form), winged, ophiopode (serpent-legged) giant Typhon, with his long swirling squamous (scaly) lower limbs terminating with the heads of serpents, grasping the thunderbolt (keraunos in Greek, fulmen in Latin), hurled by the chief Olympian god Zeus (Jupiter) and protruding from the giant's right side. |
