Recommendation. Viewing selected figures in separate tabs is recommended to simplify returning to the search results.

The search is universal across the compendium and covers its full contents, except the introductory pages (Homepage, Curator, Overview, Content, Context, Sources, and Bibliography). Search results are arranged according to the order of volumes, chapters, and articles. The representative thumbnails and labels, linked to the actual database items are placed in a 5 x 6 content grid, which accommodates up to 30 possible entries per set. When necessary, additional sequential sets are created automatically.

The search functionality supports Boolean Operators (and, or, not or and not) used as conjunctions to combine or exclude keywords in a search, resulting in more focused and productive results. The search functionality supports multiple keyword entries without Boolean Operators. The search functionality is flexible and tolerant: misspelled entries are not dismissed as erroneous but are acknowledged and carefully analyzed to offer the most plausible suggestions for further inquiry.

Note(s): The intended keyword search functionality is not yet provided. This is a “functionality demonstration” used for informational and promotional purposes. The fully functional search component will be available after consistent patronage and stable financial support are secured and the fully-integrated iconographic database is completed.
